Who We Are
Tulips Travel is a full-service travel agency in New York City. Our specialty is destination travel to Europe and Asia.
What We Do
Over the past decade, we've helped hundreds of travellers with their vacation plans.We do everything from making car reservations, booking airline tickets and reserving hotel rooms to arranging more complicated package tours.

As a result, we offer travellers an efficient and flexible service. We cater to those who want every detail of their trip pre-planned to those who simply want decent accommodations and transportation to their holiday destination.
Our Background
Tulips Travel was founded in 1990 by Marianne Lai Yee and her sister Mary Lai Stirland. Marianne learned all the tricks of the trade at Carlson Wagonlit Travel, the third largest travel agency in the world. Marianne is a 14-year veteran of the travel industry.That means that she is a pro at finding the best-priced airline tickets suited to your needs. Her specialty is arranging trips to all destinations in Asia. She can help travellers to find the most cost-efficient and flexible way of getting to, and around the region. If you've ever booked airline tickets or hotel rooms on a travel Web site, you're probably aware that these concepts are usually mutually exclusive.
When you book trips through Tulips Travel, you receive service on a personal level. Our agents make sure that you are aware of the travel restrictions with each ticket price level in order to make sure that the ticket fits your travel needs. When you're travelling around the world with several different connections to make, that level of service can make a huge difference.
Mary Lai Stirland heads up the tours department. Mary is a former part-time Parisian, full-time inhabitant of Hong Kong and London and a veteran traveler through both Europe and Asia. She now lives and works in New York. She also started the Shanghai office in 2005 for travel programs in China. She was one of the first foreign travel consultants to pioneer vacation trips for her clients throughout Indochina. She takes regular trips to update herself on the region every year and has dispatched her daughter (now a professional journalist) to establish the variability of new itineraries throughout the region.
